Metaphor Pictures
Leadership with only animals Isolation with an interior Revolution with landscape The divine (7 deadly sins) with only a still fife Love with a sequence Fear with shadow (Jekyll and Hyde) Greed with hands For this illustration project, we were given seven concepts, and we had to illustrate them with seven given nouns (hands, a still life, etc.). We can use whichever concepts for whichever nouns we want; but they all had to be used only once. They also had to be in black and white. Every picture was drawn, scanned, and colored in Photoshop.
Zankel Hall Poster and NYC Trip
Zankel Hall Poster NYC Trip The pink piece was an assignment for my Illustration Studio course. The assignment was to recreate a poster for a Zankel Hall event in NYC. I chose to design the "Students from the iSchool and Art" show. This event in particular was a "battle of the bands-esque" type (old-school vs. present day). As a result, I made Angus Young from AC/DC and Gene Simmons from KISS for old-school; and Adele and Katy Perry for present day. The black and white work was for the same class. We went to NYC about a month ago, and the assignment was to illustrate how our day was. We all started at the Society of Illustrators. I absolutely loved it, to the point in which I stayed behind. As a result, I was alone the rest of the cold, rainy day, and made my way from 62nd street (where the bus dropped us off) to 25th street (where the bus would pick us up). Little Critters: I Am So Bored
Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 I created three comics based off the Little Critters book series. Before doing so, however, I did research by reading the original books by Mercer Meyer. I am confident that the comics are faithful to Meyer's books, in terms of writing, illustration, and tone.
Clinton and Trump Carnival Game
I was hired by the president of a local law firm to paint caricatures of Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump for a dinner party she was hosting. The party was to consist of politically-themed carnival games; and one game in particular involved throwing bean-bags into a net/hole. I painted Trump and Clinton's faces around those holes to create the illusion that the it was their mouths.
"The Missing Cell Phone" Comic
